Sure, there are clinical guidelines, which encourage people with type 2 to aim for an A1C below 7 percent, as well as monitoring other aspects of your health such as cardiovascular, kidney, or eye health. But, there are nuances to living with type 2 diabetes that won’t be easily gathered into different data points. It’s those nuances that can make a difference in a person’s outlook on their life with diabetes and how they determine what success with type 2 looks like for them.
