It is an app to track your food intake, carbs, fibre, fat, vitamins, essential nutrients, etc. It has a database with over two million foods from around the world . You can even input your custom macros and track your macros and nutrients on the free plan. When a user adds items not currently in their database, Cronometeter has a very comprehensive process to confirm that the user information submitted is fact accurate . Cronometer requires the front and back of food labels including the nutritional information.
There is a free option on this app (which is great) with an upgrade to a good level for $9.99 per month. The upgrade paid version is free if you purchase a One Touch Glucose Monitor.

What is included in a Gold Membership:
In the paid version , you can import recipes by pasting the URL and it can work out the macros for that recipe. You can also make adjustments those recipes to fit your macros. You can connect to your Fitbit or some other wearable tracker to track your exercise and sleep. You can track your fasts, your blood pressure numbers, your weight and your blood glucose. There is a high accuracy.
You can scan a barcode to add food and much more including exporting data for a doctor or dietician. Dieticians like it because it includes confirmed nutritional data for a lot of foods along with user entered info.
You can add exercise (and it automatically adjusts calories burned), notes, track water, etc.
