As part of our mission, we have established the Type 2 Diabetes Network, dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals affected by type 2 diabetes across British Columbia.

Position Summary: Type 2 Diabetes Network Lead

We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Type 2 Diabetes Network. In this role, you will collaborate with our advisory committee, community partners, and key stakeholders to deliver on the strategic goals and objectives of the network. Your responsibilities will include operational leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication strategy, event management, partnership building, knowledge sharing, and project support.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience managing a network in a healthcare or nonprofit setting. Strong communication skills, networking abilities, multitasking capabilities, and grant writing experience are essential. Experience with managing special events and proficiency in computer skills are also required.

Work Environment and Remuneration:

This is a part-time, virtual position with occasional travel to Metro Vancouver. The hourly rate ranges from $55 to $65, depending on education and experience. The position offers flexible hours, with the possibility of increasing to full-time based on mutual agreement. Occasional overnight travel within British Columbia may be required.
