Healthcare Provider Education Videos

These videos have been curated by the British Columbia Diabetes Collaboration. What is the BC Diabetes Collaborative (BCDC)? It is an interdisciplinary group (physician, nursing, dietitian, pharmacist) who have expertise in diabetes management and wish to share ideas, practices, challenges. It’s a grassroots initiative to create collaboration across the province with the hopes that the BC government creates a formal Diabetes Strategy and a more formal table for us to meet. The purpose of the group is: 1. Gather stakeholder representatives from across BC to share ideas, initiatives, policies, education and approaches to diabetes management (why re-invent the wheel? Share resources). Topics cover areas pertaining to in-hospital, out-patient and community diabetes management 2. That with this sharing, it can lead to standardization of care (regardless of location, rural/urban) 3. To stimulate discussion and sharing of best practices which can be adapted to individual settings 4. To build professional relationships across the province 5. To partner with the Type 2 Diabetes Network to provide expert advisors for their work in the provincial sector 6. To advocate for improved care with government key decision-makers 7. To create working groups within BCDC to collaborate on projects that would benefit all involved and share the resources
