Study highlights disparities in access to diabetes care technologies

Ethnic minorities in England less likely to have access to diabetes tech. The Guardian covered a new study published in Diabetic Medicine demonstrating that people from ethnic minority groups in England face significantly lower rates of continuous glucose monitor (CGM) prescribing despite higher type 2 diabetes risk. This health services research points to structural inequities that could affect outcomes even when effective tools exist.
